EA recently announced that it will release Command & Conquer 4 in 2010, and the game will take players through the finale of the Tiberium War saga. EA really is prolific. We’ll get to see Kane again next year. I’m rooting for Kane, hehe.
The story of Command & Conquer 4 mostly takes place after Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. It’s 2062, humanity is on the brink of extinction, and Earth has only six years left before it becomes uninhabitable. The two opposing factions, the Global Defense Initiative (GDI) and the Brotherhood of Nod, finally realize they have to stop the spread of Tiberium to keep it from wiping out humanity; Nod’s leader Kane decides to set out for GDI. Just what is Kane planning on enemy territory? Command & Conquer 4 will bring this Tiberium world to its final, epic conclusion, and players will at last learn the ultimate fate of Nod, GDI and Earth, and most importantly, the real motivation behind Kane’s long-standing plan.
