Rules: 1. The person who gets tagged must write their answers on their own blog & Qzone. Then add 1 question of your own and pass it on to 10 other people. List the names of the 10 people who have to answer the questions, and let them know they’ve been tagged. The tagged person may not refuse to answer, and whoever finishes the game will forever receive everyone’s blessings. 2. These 10 people must note on their own blog & QQ Zone where they got the questions from. And they must think up one more question to pass on to 10 other people, so this happy game keeps going. 3. No passing it back, or you’re cheating! 4. The people whose names are called will receive everyone’s blessings, and all their beautiful wishes will come true before long.

01: Who occupies the biggest place in your heart right now? Given the principle of reader supremacy, the one occupying the biggest place in my heart right now is of course you.

02: If time could flow backwards, which day would you want to return to? Year One of the Cosmic Era.

03 Whose messages do you keep on your phone? Apart from ads, I keep them all.

04: What’s the dumbest, silliest, most regrettable thing you’ve ever done? Answering this question.

05: What’s the most romantic thing you’ve ever experienced? My life.

06: Who is the person you love most? Earthlings.

07: If your beloved were going abroad to study or for further training (at least two years), would you wait for them or break up — what would you choose? Can’t I go abroad too?

08: What were you just doing? Thinking about how boring the next question might be.

09: Any plans for the next holiday? I’m on holiday right now, designing and building my new site.

10: What do you want most right now? MacBook Pro

11: Would you confess to the person you like? I’m afraid I’d have to learn how to turn people down…

12: Do you prefer amusement parks or entertainment venues? I have no real concept of either — homebody here. I don’t like traffic jams and shoulder-to-shoulder crowds.

13: Your own nicknames — list as many as you can. Ovaltine, Dede (dě dé), Mouse, Bomb, Mousebomb, Kangaroo…

14: Who do you feel most grateful to, from birth until now? My family — though really the answer could be everyone.

15: In your next life, would you rather be a human or a small animal? Why can’t I exist in some other form?

16: Do you think friendship is forever? It both is and isn’t — it’s a long story. Why not think about it (idealist angle): suppose in your last life you were very close to a friend, but in this life you meet like strangers — would you say that friendship is forever? Or think about it (materialist angle): your friendship for a friend arises at a point in time and space — is that point eternal?

17: Which part of your looks are you most happy with? How come I can’t understand this question… What class is “looks”, what class is “part”? They’re different types.

18: You have to say one sentence to the person you love most! Just one sentence? Then I’ll say: “Great, you’ve shown up. Time is tight, I can only trust you — please remember to check what goes wrong with my mouth-centered audio output system after I finish this sentence.”

19: Do you often feel like a failure? I think the bro who asked this question probably often feels like a failure, haha. That’s a good thing. If you feel like a failure, just go create success. I often feel like a failure…

20: When do you want to get married? Huh? I’ll tell you when I figure it out… This question is like asking when the universe will be destroyed.

21: The most failed moment of your life? Answering this question.

22: Who is the person you most want to marry?

This question is ungrammatical!

Well said upstairs! Thinking about it, I’m speechless — beyond the grammatical error, on closer reflection this question has terrible user experience…

23: If you had to pick a character from a movie, who would you be? Huh? None of the characters in movies are anything like my style. I don’t want to pick a single one — I’m just me. This one gets me fired up: when I was a kid, parents were always saying to their kids, “Why can’t you be more like so-and-so, look how good they are…” — ugh, if that’s the logic, let’s all just go clone ourselves.

24: Your beloved can’t keep you company when you ask — what do you do? After a hundred days of rain, sunshine must come one day. As long as the green hills are there, there’s no fear of no firewood.

25: Would you rather be a wise person or a beautiful person? Wise.

26: To be together in the future, would you wait 5 years for the person you love? In that situation there’s usually no guarantee the other person won’t fall for someone else… Only if both sides can withstand the test, then… If it were me, I’d definitely take the long view and spend some time doing a full assessment of the situation…

27: Do you think your so-called love is the happiness of a whole lifetime? What meaning does a lifetime have? Is it really that long? What about the next life? Let me hit you once more: where’s your lover from your past life? Found them yet?

28: What kind of life would satisfy you? To be happy only after everyone else is happy — looks like I’ll never be satisfied in this lifetime.

29: The thing that has moved you most, from birth until now? The creation of heaven and earth.

30: When are you very confident? After surpassing the person I used to be.

31: In your eyes, the most beautiful scenery is What? The order of all things in heaven and earth.

32: Which song makes you cry when you hear it? Quite a few, it seems; most recently the Olympic theme song “You and Me”.

33: What do you hope the person you love is like? It’s a long story…

24: What are you like now, or what were you like last time — describe it in four characters. Sweating buckets.

34: Do you prefer mature or naive? Naive in how I treat people, mature in how I handle things.

35: Do you think that when you like someone you’re falling in love with their soul? Or is appearance more important? What use is loving a soul? What use is appearance? Is there anything eternal?

36: When you can’t forget someone, what do you do? After you die, will you still remember that in a past life I was your best friend?

37: American, European, Japanese, Korean or domestic dramas — which do you like best? Recommend one. X FILES, American.

38: Family, friendship, love — rank them and explain. Just order them randomly. What a mystical question… You rank the chicken and the egg for me and let’s see.

39: When are you most conflicted? I haven’t thought of a more conflicted moment yet; I’ll tell you when I do.

40: What do you do when your inner self and reality can’t be reconciled? Same as 34.

41: Would you allow yourself to be hurt twice by the person you love most? It depends how badly. As long as I don’t take a major loss myself, better to be tolerant (watch your master go enlighten them…). Actually, so what? Humans go around hurting each other all the time, don’t they? Yet as a whole we’re still pretty united.

42: A woman who’s even less driven career-wise than you — would you still accept her? There are plenty of people less driven than me; that’s completely normal. If someone were more driven than me, that’s when I’d pay serious attention. PS: this question seems to assume I’m rather lacking in drive?

43: Can you forget your first love? Probably not… but what’s the point? It all passes in an instant.

44: What makes you the very saddest? People have joys and sorrows, partings and reunions, and the moon waxes and wanes. Birth, aging, sickness, death — cycling endlessly.

45: Do you like the Alps or a diamond ring? I’m neutral on both.

46: One day you have to travel alone to a faraway place and can only bring three things — what would you bring? Laptop, credit card, bag.

47: What were your dreams as a kid? What are your dreams now? As a kid: build airplanes, writer, painter, Minister of Defense, company boss, hermit. Now: if not building a hut in the mountains, then roaming the four seas.

48: How do you feel? This game eats up a lot of time…

49: After finishing the questions, do you blame me in your heart? I’m a bit unhappy with the quality of the questions, but I still thank you for the self-assessment review you gave me…

50: Where do you want to live with your beloved, and in what kind of house? Scenic places, buildings of different styles. Chinese coastal cities, the Irish countryside, Hokkaido in Japan… Chinese neoclassical architecture, and so on.

51: What do you do when you’re heartbroken? Work, study, keep busy waiting to die.

52: Do you avoid making promises because you’re afraid of breaking them? Only promise what your abilities allow. If you shoot your mouth off, you’re doomed. Once you promise, do your best — even if you break the promise, as long as you did your best you have nothing to be ashamed of before heaven and earth.

53: Now that you’ve finished the questions, tell a joke (since you’re done, this shouldn’t count as giving people a hard time). Too bad I’m not done yet…

54: Will you always remember me? “Me” is ambiguous — the original author, or the previous baton-holder?

55: Is being fat a crime? No.

56: When was your first love? During my first love, of course.

57: Use one thing to describe “happiness”. Wholeness.

58: What’s your reaction when you see a handsome guy (or a beauty)? Adjusting my focal length…

59: How do you grind out MONEY? What does the question even mean? Is it a dialect? I don’t get it.

60: If you had to pick a man or woman from Laos or Myanmar as your partner, which would you pick? What if it were an alien?

The question I’m adding: 61. Do you think this snowballing game is meaningful? How is the “no passing it back” rule actually enforced? Who’s responsible for bubbling up and listing everyone it’s been passed to? An appeal: whoever starts this game first in the future, please keep a list of everyone who’s taken part as the questions snowball, to avoid recursion…

I’m not tagging anyone… I’m exhausted. Whoever wants to pick it up, just Trackback.
