After finishing Angry Birds Rio, I was looking forward to the movie version. Last Monday I suggested to my friends that we go see it on Friday, opening day, and by Friday I’d gradually rounded up a group of 14.

Quoting fenix: Tonight colleagues from four departments went together to see the premiere of Rio. It’s worth noting that this wasn’t a free perk from the company, but purely a self-funded outing by people in the industry. Company benefits should mean raising employees’ pay and creating better room for advancement; what employees need to do is create and keep up with the company’s pace of progress, and on that basis, everyone has to keep learning.

I’m really glad so many people responded to my proposal. It turns out this film is great for relieving the pressure on our stressed-out dev team. Rio doesn’t preach any grand lessons or aim for deep meaning — it’s just a comedy out to make everyone laugh, and that’s enough. Recommend it for a group of friends or the whole family.
